🚨 Spoiler below 🚨
While thinking about my entry for Oktrollberfest 2026, suddenly ...I trolled you into learning something. I hope thisapply to the whole concept but still, here's my entry (btw I started tinkering with ZZT but was too complex for me and went back to my old js).
Surprise. You got fingerprinted. Every ball that escaped? I took notes. OS, Browser, GPU, Timezone. And it's not hacking... Your browser just told me, voluntarily.
"But it's just my timezone." Sure. And fonts. And GPU. And screen size. And... and... Each one is just a boring bit of info, but together? They becme a nametag that follows you online. No cookies, no login, no consent needed. Nothing to clear. It isn't stored anywhere. It's just... you.
Who cares about this? 🤡
- Advertisers: they follow you across sites.
- Data brokers sell and resell your profile while you get nothing.
- Scammers can craft attacks around your setup.
It's time to panic? Relax, everything in this game is computed locally, the page makes zero third-party requests: nothing is sent and nothing is stored. I'm a clown, the safest thing that will ever read your fingerprint. Real sites do the same, but silently and constantly. And they're not nearly this fun to read.
How to fight back? Some browsers are a bit more privacy-focused than others (like Tor Browser), Firefox has resistFingerprintin, some Brave options, uBlock Origin.
Private mode is not helpful at all.
Last thing, this is a prototype with a lot of rough edges, squeaky wheels, minimal audio, all of it.
Found a bug, an error, or something Sly shouldn't know about you?
I'd love to hear it
