Terminal Intern

Ok so...

i will start my new job in a few minutes. security, probationary unit, they already gave me a badge and a locker and a very short training video that i had to watch twice because i fell asleep the first time.

It seems i will be operating an x-ray scanner. Must look at the bags, find the thing that shouldnt be there, note it, report it. 

Simple, right? i'm terrified excited.

They told me about my supervisor, name's Chief Malone. Everyone i asked went very quiet when i mentioned him. One guy just said "good luck" , another one laughed, but it wasnt a nice laugh.

I'm sure he's fine. he will be a mentor figure, someone who guides and nurtures. maybe he will take me under his wing. maybe we will get lunch together.

I'm going to be great at this job.

Made a little checklist for the job:

— arrive on time ✓ (already there)
— find the suspicious object  (how hard can it be)
— type its name correctly  (i am a good speller... mostly)
— make a good impression on Chief Malone 
— do not cry, stay professional
